Vicky Foxcroft

Trustee and Chair

Vicky Foxcroft has been the Member of Parliament for Lewisham Deptford since May 2015. Since being elected, much of Vicky’s constituency work has focused on issues surrounding young people in Lewisham Deptford. In 2016, following the murder of five young people in the constituency, Vicky established the Youth Violence Commission, a cross-party group set up to examine the root causes of youth violence. 

Prior to her election, Vicky was a local councillor for the Brockley ward (2010-2014) and spent 13 years working in various roles for Unite. As a councillor she played a leading role in the campaign to save A&E and maternity services at University Hospital Lewisham. 

Vicky was born in Chorley, Lancashire and studied performing arts at college. She has lived in Brockley and Deptford since 2000. 

Andy Rothery

Trustee and Treasurer

Andy is a freelance real estate adviser having retired from Deloitte in 2015 after 27 years working there.  At Deloitte, Andy was a senior partner and head of Deloitte Real Estate.  Andy is a Freeman of the City of London and of the Leathersellers Livery Company through which he is a Governor of the Leathersellers Federation of Schools (Prendergast School, Prendergast Ladywell School and Prendergast Vale School).  Andy is an Independent Trustee on the board of the London Transport Museum and a resident trustee of the New Cross Gate Trust.  Andy was born and went to school in Lewisham before going on to Oxford to study Politics, Philosophy and Economics.  Andy now lives in New Cross and is committed to improving social mobility and opportunity for all young people in Lewisham. 

Selena Bolingbroke


Selena has worked for the last 20 years across higher education, central and local government in a variety of roles that have combined her interests in education and regeneration. She currently works for Goldsmiths, University of London, leading on their Community Engagement strategy and strategic development projects. Selena is also an Associate Director for MetaValue specialising in Public Sector Enterprise.  She holds a number of Non-Executive and Trustee roles: Non Executive Director of Wonkhe Ltd the company that publishes Wonkhe.com and its associated channels; Trustee for Cyclopark, a large multi-discipline cycling facility in North Kent; External Trustee for Kent Union Board – the Students’ Union for Kent University.  

Past professional roles include Pro Vice-Chancellor of the University of East London, Director of Shaping Thurrock Local Strategic Partnership, and, Skills lead for the Thames Gateway Strategic Executive based in the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister, where she supported the development of a number of education and regeneration capital projects in East London, South Essex and Medway. 

Joan Millbank MBE


Lewisham has been Joan’s home since 1977. Over the years she has been active – as a volunteer or a trustee - in setting up and supporting many community groups, charities and voluntary organisations at a local, regional and national level.  Her understanding, knowledge and skills in respect to local communities and the voluntary sector have been enhanced through her paid work including working as a community development officer, neighbourhood officer, Executive Director of a large multipurpose charity, cross-sector management consultancy experience and currently as a part-time grants officer within a large charitable trust.  In 2010 Joan stood and was elected as a Lewisham councillor for Telegraph Hill ward. She is currently a member of Lewisham Council’s Executive where she holds the portfolio for the Third Sector, Community and Equality. She is a trustee of Deptford First in a personal capacity.

Gavin Rodgers


Gavin is Assistant Director of Neighbourhoods at L&Q Housing.  L&Q are one of the largest housing associations within the sector and own and manage over 11,000 homes in the borough of Lewisham.  Gavin has worked for L&Q in a number of roles since joining them in 2007 and has had overall responsibility for managing their homes in the borough since May 2016. Deptford is an important area within the borough for L&Q where we have existing residents but also as a  potential growth area. Gavin hopes to be able to provide some valuable input around the priorities of the trust, particularly around housing need and opportunities to young people. 

Ainsley Forbes MBE


A property developer/builder for the last 20 years, prior to this was a Social work manager before being promoted to Assistant Director of Social Services with a London local authority. 
Ainsley retired from L&Q, in 2011 having been a group Board member since 1990 and Chair of Tower Homes, He lived in New Cross Gate Lewisham for over thirty years, with his partner and two daughters.
Ainsley was awarded an MBE for services to social housing in London in the Queen’s Birthday Honours 2011. Ainsley joined Lewisham Homes as an independent board member in 2012 and was appointed Chair of the board in January 2016
