Launch of Food Cycle Free Weekly Lunch at All Saints

Deptford First recently contributed towards the launch of a new Food Cycle community dining project at All Saints Community Centre in New Cross. The vast majority of the money for the project came from Lewisham Council via Neighbourhood Community Infrastructure Levy funding, but the trustees agreed to give a small amount to cover start up costs.

The initial NCIL-funded programme will run until November 2026 during term-time. After that, Food Cycle are hoping to have secured enough external funding to keep it going longer term.

The first meal will be held on Thursday 28th August and every Thursday after that at 1.15pm. It is free, open to everyone and there is no need to book in advance.
