The Community Chest Fund is a new project set up to generate support for the local community from the local community.

By operating an emergency relief fund we can support residents in immediate need using funds raised by the local community. The emergency fund will provide small financial grants of up to £500 to cover essentials such as clothing, basic furniture, household items, travel costs and securing ID that go towards helping people stabilising their lives without creating dependency.

Deptford First will allocate funds raised to partner organisations who deal with people with no recourse to public funds on the front-line.

All funds raised go to beneficiaries and there are no administration costs (other than bank processing fees) levied by Deptford First or our partner organisations.
